Description	The photograph shows Matron Gertrude Everil (Gus) Moore who was born in Queensland on 02 July 1909 and died in 1987. Gus Moore had a distinguished career in nursing. Morning Bulletin articles refer to her as Matron of Hillcrest Hospital in Rockhampton as early as 1948. After extensive service at this hospital she became Matron of the Yeppoon Hospital. The Gertrude E Moore Memorial Nursing Home which was on Anzac Parade, Yeppoon was named in her honour. She was awarded the Order of the British Empire - Member (Civil) (MBE) on 01 January 1976 for her service to nursing.
