| Description | Gwen Gorman, Barbara Lees and Margaret (Meg) Leslie trained as nurses at the Rockhampton Hospital in the early 1950s. The photograph shows Gwen Gorman (left), Barbara Lees (Right) and Meg Leslie (Front) on the steps of a nurses quarters building which was in use from late 1945 until the opening of a new nurses quarters building on 11 July 1954. Gwen Gorman completed her final year examination in 1954. Barbara Lees studied between 1952 and 1954 and graduated at a ceremony held at the Rockhampton Hospital on 06 May 1955. Meg Leslie was undertaking examinations in 1951 and 1952. |
