Description	Daphne Torenbeck and Maureen Joan Ockenden trained as nurses at the Rockhampton Hospital in the early 1950s. Daphne trained between 1951 and 1954 and graduated at a ceremony held at the hospital on 2nd July 1954. Maureen Joan (Joan) trained between 1952 and 1955 and graduated at a ceremony held on 06 May 1955. This photograph shows Daphne and Joan in uniform near one of the nurses quarters buildings which were in use from late 1945 until a new nurses quarters was opened in 1954.
