| Description | This photograph of Miss Norma West, Director of Nursing, was taken at the Rockhampton Hospital Graduation Ceremony held on 09 Jul 1987. Miss Norma West OBE held the senior nursing position at the Rockhampton Hospital from 19 July 1971 until 2001. Initially the position carried the title Matron but subsequent changes led to the position being titled Nursing Superintendent for a few years and then Director of Nursing. She was awarded the OBE in 1983 for her service to nursing. |
