| Description | Nurse Sarah Eliza Costello trained at the Rockhampton Hospital between 01 Dec 1916 and 16 Dec 1919. The back of the photograph carries the handwritten inscription 'Yours Lovingly Costy 22-7-18'. The photograph illustrates the uniforms worn by nurses in this period. Sarah Costello returned to Rockhampton Hospital as a Sister on 08 Jun 1921. There are records of her working at the Springsure Hospital and at the Tannachy Hospital where she was Matron from 1935 until she married in late 1946. |
