Description Sister Margret Fraser was born 1897. Her first career was in teaching but she resigned to take up nursing at Hillcrest, with Dr Vivian Voss and at the Women's Hospital before undertaking her general training at the Rockhampton Hospital between 01 Oct 1921 and 04 Oct 1924. She worked for many years as a Theatre Sister before being appointed Acting Matron in October 1944 when Matron Maud Green resigned. She held the acting position until her appointment was made permanent on 14 August 1946. She became seriously ill while still in office in late 1951 and died in the Hospital on 18 April 1952.
