| Description | Edna May Weber was born on 22 July 1905 in Queensland. She commenced nurse training at the Rockhampton Hospital on 28 December 1925 and completed it in 1929. After a brief interval, she completed her midwifery certificate at the Rockhampton Women's Hospital between 19 Apr 1930 and 18 Oct 1930. The completion of this certificate occurred at about the time that the Women's Hospital was closed as the new Lady Goodwin Maternity Hospital opened on the Rockhampton Hospital site. Edna Weber undertook private nursing before becoming Matron of the Muttaburra Hospital and then a member of the RAAF Nursing Service from 1941 - 1947. |
