Description | This photograph of the Rockhampton Hospital taken in the 1930's shows the lift well between the original hospital (commenced 1867) and the Lady Goodwin Hospital (opened 1930) as the prominent feature on the skyline. In the foreground is the nurses' quarters which were destroyed by fire on 28 September 1945. These buildings had been relocated from the former Children's Hospital in Denham Street. This photograph has been taken from Quarry Street. |
