Description The photograph shows Sister Ivy Baker at the Rockhampton Hospital ca. 1930. Ivy Baker commenced a four year training course at the Rockhampton Hospital on 27 Sep 1926 which she completed on 26 Sep 1930. She then went on to complete a midwifery qualification at the Lady Goodwin Hospital between 01 Aug 1932 and 31 Jan 1933. She served at the Rockhampton Hospital until her retirement in 1968, a total of 42 years. She held the position of Deputy Matron on many occasions.
