| Description | The photograph shows nursing staff at the Westwood Sanatorium in 1932. Annotations on the photographs provide the following identifications: Rear (L - R): Nr Balem, Nr College, Sr Weber, Matron May Scully, Sr Gross, Nr Birk, Unidentified; Front (L - R): Nr Studdard, Nr Madeleine Jane Buchanan Kilpatrick (née Bates). The photograph was provided by Mrs Edna Besch (Weber) who graduated from the Rockhampton Hospital in 1929 and worked at the Westwood Sanatorium in the early part of the 1930s. Miss May Scully's appointment as Superintendent of Westwood was confirmed on 08 September 1923 and her farewell was held on 09 July 1935. |
