Lakes Creek Worker's Cottage, Rockhampton Heritage Village
Title Lakes Creek Worker's Cottage, Rockhampton Heritage Village
Description Photograph of the Lakes Creek Cottage at the Rockhampton Heritage Village. The building is an example of many worker's cottages built in Lakes Creek for employees in the adjacent meatworks. Many of the cottages are still in use. This particular example has been relocated to the Heritage Village and is presently being used to house part of the historical collection of the Australian Country Hospital Heritage Association. However, the cottage had its actual origin as a miner's cottage in Mt Morgan from where it was relocated to Lakes Creek.
