| Description | The nursing staff pose with their Matron (Sarah Maud Green) and the Chair of the Rockhampton Hospital Board (Mr L. G. Haigh) on the steps of the Rockhampton Hospital on Christmas Day 1940. This photograph was published in the Central Queensland Herald on 09 Jan 1941 over the caption 'Nurses who were on duty when the wards were decorated'. The Collection includes two lists of names associated with this photograph and it is difficult to be certain about assigning the correct names to everyone in the rear two rows. Reproduced here is the typed list with first names added from a hand-written list. Back row (L to R): Sr K.
